About the Doctor

Dr. Chan is a doctor of naturopathic medicine and a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California. She is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon earning both a Docotor of Naturopathic Medicine Degree and a Masters of Science in Oreintal Medicine.  During her graduate studies she also conducted research on botanical herbs and their effect on the immune system.  Her research is published in the journal of Phytotherapy Research.  

Having the knowledge of western medicine with Chinese medicine enables Dr. Chan to provide an integrative approach to health.  Dr. Chan considers herself to be a partner in the healing process and encourages patients to be proactive about their health.  She emphasizes prevention and self care for her patients and takes the time to investigate the root cause of disease. 

Dr. Chan is a member of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association, American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. 

Dr. Chan’s Approach

• Dr. Chan’s approach to treating patients with HPV and Cervical Dysplasia is unique to each individual.  It is a personalized treatment approach that involves determining which dietary and lifestyle recommendations one should follow as well as which specific herbs and supplements are better suited for healing and ensuring the best results. 
• Dr. Chan is trained in both Naturopathic and Chinese medicine treatments for Cervical Dysplasia and HPV.  Her patients who utilize both Naturopathic and Chinese medicines have had the most successful clearance rates of HPV and Dysplasia. 
• While Dr. Chan mostly treats patients whom seek a Natural Approach to begin with, Dr. Chan does see patients whom have had previous Cone Biopsies or LEEP procedures who want to address HPV and prevent recurrences naturally.    
• Dr. Chan’s individualized treatments have helped many women in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.  Patients nationally as well as internationally have traveled to seek her treatments.
